Anyone need Solar panels for your LD?

A liquidation company that deals in Solar stuff is selling a bunch (7Mw) worth of Solar panels from Evergreen Solar and they're going for $0.78/watt which is a great deal..
The only downside is that there's a 20 panel minimum and most panels are ~200W each.. Not sure if someone wants to setup a group buy or not.. Just passing this along as someone might be interested in it:

Disclaimer : I'm not associated with any of this -- just passing along a good deal if it works for you, etc..

I put an Evergreen ESA 205 on my '03MB earlier this year.  It fits nicely in the space between the A/C and the exit hatch, and having a single 200w panel makes for easy wiring and short wire runs.  I paired it with a cheap Morningstar PWM controller for a budget solar install.

You should be able to find them for sale individually (at higher cost, of course, but still a deal).  Retailers are buying large lots and splitting them.
I bought my panel from Arizona Wind & Sun, but lots of people have been selling them since Evergreen went bust.  The downside is that they are too big to ship UPS and have to go freight.  Obviously, there is no warranty since the manufacturer is out of business.

Regarding the warranty.. My understanding is that the Company selling these is going to warranty these directly If that matters since they're a solar provider..  YMMV..

78 cents a watt for used panels isn't a good price, considering that you can get brand new panels from AM Solar for 64 cents a watt:

The secondhand Evergreen panels would have to be substantially cheaper--say fifty cents a watt--before I'd consider them.

I'm not following.  A 200w Evergreen @ .78 a watt would be ~$160.
Of course, no one buying a single panel is going to get that price.  Freight shipping, and splitting a group of 20 all add cost.
The best things about the Evergreen panel, IMO, is the size.  It fits nicely on a MidBath and provides an easy way to add a single panel that is a nice match for the factory batteries.  No combiner box, short wire runs...it's a clean and easy install, IMO.
The good news for everyone is that solar prices continue to drop, even for new unblemished panels.  RVers have more options than ever.

Andy,  What am I missing here?  $319.95 for 100 watts comes out to $3.20 a watt using my "old" math.  How did you come up with 64 cents a watt?

Uhhhh... absentmindedness? Sheer stupidity? Sorry, folks. Just ignore what I said. ;-)
