Fuel Tank Won't take fuel!!!!!! October 30, 2011, 08:32:30 am Yahoo Message Number: 126277INterestng problem starting fol Az and station nozzle shuts off won't put in any fuel. Won't get to Az this way!Incidentaly this is a 93 F 350 chassis!Finally went to a ford dealer whose only idea was somne purge valve or tank in the front of rig!Luckily my friend recognized the 2 square cannisters on the frame on the drivers side!Dealer some valve may be stuck or these tanks may have filled with gas??ANyway in looking at the cannisters there was a little line from the tank to the top of the cannister!SImply removed that little line and could then fill the tank without the nozzle shutting off!!No apparent fumes or fuel coming out of the line but it worked and we are back on the road with 400 miles left to go today!Now to figure out what is happening!!I am sure some of you know what this is assume it is some part of the fancy polution systems on these vehicles!!No fun starting out and finding out can't put fuel in your rig!Had just traveled 3500 miles with no problem this springon my return from Az.
