Cracked windows

Hi Everyone!
I posted about a year ago and last July that I wanted to sell our 1985 Lazy Days because I felt insecure in driving it alone due to her size.  There was such an out-pouring of support from both men and woman that my relationship with driving alone was completely healed and now the dog, parrot and I take road-trips fairly regularly by ourselves.
Any way, our rig initially came to us very beat-up.  She has sense received an enormous amount of TLC, however, most of her windows are cracked including the two small ones in the loft, the enormous one above the bed and the huge rear window.
We've been living with them under the assumption that they'd be too expensive to replace (the whole rigs probably only worth about 4500) but I thought I'd put it out to see if anyone knows any secrets to get them fixed affordably??

Thanks in advance!

Tania..

First and foremost are the existing cracks water tight or leaking small amounts?  Also, do you know why the cracks developed (e.g. small kids throwing rocks or ??)

If the cracks just 'developed', it could be the case that there's some underlying reason for it and that by fixing the glass, it could happen again I suppose although those aluminum frames should be fairly strong on their own.

As for replacement, each 'pane' can be removed with the help of a sharp putty knife to cut through the old black sealant that holds the glass in place.. However, the expensive part will be finding replacement glass IF you decide to go that route.  Nagco Glass in Pomona CA is where you'll find the original stuff but you could probably get either lighter or darker stuff locally and have a competent glass shop do the removal & replacement if you wanted -- the cost to ship the original stuff from Nagco to where-ever you are might be prohibitive..

Just my $0.02 worth -- which I realize aint much these days!

Thanks for your .02 cents, Rick.
All the cracks are certainly water-tight.  When you put your hand up to them, you don't feel air coming through either.
The cracks were there when we got the rig so I don't know how they developed but I highly doubt they were all rocks.  I hadn't thought about that so thanks for the insight.
Doesn't sound like there are any affordable options...the glass shops think highly of their products, that's for sure.
