When we were at Naco Glass for a window repair last year, they cautioned against using the foil-type bubble insulation under hot sun as an invitation to window damage.  It's probably not a problem for cold, but I didn't ask.  /noel/

We have the blanket set to pull down between the cab and the coach and that also works both for cold and hot weather.
We discovered just how much cold air flows off the windshield and driver/passenger windows during our first winter trip in our SOB, many years ago. Some dumpster-diving behind an electronics store got us a 3' x 4' piece of cardboard we could put behind the backs of the cab seats to block the air from flowing from front to back. What huge difference that made! Cheapest, easiest "winter upgrade package" we've ever had. It helps in the summer, too.
