I guess I missed something.  There is a need to document procedures so any body can do it.

I vote "no" on photos in posts.  The message just received (via email) from Johndacrema/Garry Foster/George Peters (???) was 9.0KB, waaaaay too big for my on-the-road connections.  Even if it was smaller, IMHO this type of photo (albeit a great one!) belongs in our already-established "Photo of the Month" file.
 Personally, I would not want to wade through "artistics" on this board.  That's why we have blogs.  I like being able to link to photos, artistic, technical or otherwise.  Links to pix work for me.  Just sayin'!

Lorna, Sorry for the large file.  I thought it was supposed to become a thumbnail.
 After my (not so little) test, I would have to go to the no camp as well.  I have an on line place for my photos, and as you say if that is not enough there is the group gallery here.

Thanks for the nice comment on the photo.

*Busted*!!  You are right Andy.  Because I receive messages in the email format, I rarely visit the Yahoo site unless I'm looking for something specific.  Sounds like I'm missing some great pix.  Me thinks I'd better change my wicked, lazy ways!

And 9 k would be a very small picture I suspect the one I copied was much larger than that.

However it sure was easy I just used cntrl c and v..

 Aw, I was just giving you a hard time, Lorna. ;-) Truth is, although I read these posts in the website, I almost never go to the homepage myself--I go straight to "Messages." The only reason I know about the photo of the month is that I put it there. :-)

What I would like to see is either a link directly from the post to an album sorta like Larry's direct link to his very informative Flicker site, or a search feature in the "Photos" section that would take you right to the subject photo album.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Hey, no worries Garry.  I know 9KB isn't very large, but considering most of my Yahoo messages are in the 4KB neighborhood, 9 KB seemed "large," probably because it took up the entire message screen.  I'm afraid I don't know the in's and out's of converting full size photos to a thumbnail; and if I can't just "slide" a photo from one place to another with my mouse, well, just fergitaboutit!
