looking to buy LD January 03, 2011, 09:48:43 am Yahoo Message Number: 119341How nice to find this group. We're in our second season of RVing and are currently in Borrego Springs. We're from Vancouver, BC and have become very interested in purchasing an LD but recently heard that it's not possible to import them to Canada. Does anyone know if there is a work around to get it to happen. The Transport Canada website does not list LD as an admissible vehicle. I've asked them for info but, of course, have received nothing yet. Thanks for any help you can send. Ron
Re: looking to buy LD Reply #1 – January 03, 2011, 10:00:54 am Yahoo Message Number: 119343Ron, I'm also looking to acquire a LD and live in Victoria, BC. My understanding is that if the vehicle is over 15 years old you can import it and have a safety done to see if it complies with Canadian standards. Good luck on finding a LD.Pat__

Re: looking to buy LD Reply #4 – January 06, 2011, 07:26:19 pm Yahoo Message Number: 119457No, Mark. There is no problem driving an LD in Canada. I've done it a number of times now. The original question had to do with importing and registering an LD by someone living in Canada.Alex Rutchka, SE #4 '05 MB
