changing tail light bulb on 85 (chevy) lazy daze December 18, 2010, 05:21:39 am Yahoo Message Number: 119140I have 22' multiplan with the outer rear left turn signal out. It's a round light with a weird wire thingy surrounding the red lens. Looked in the Lazy Daze manual - looked in the 85 Chevy manual, but didn't see any info on how to take it apart. I definitely don't want to break it.Anyone? Thanks, Francine

I definitely don't want to break it. --- My 2003 uses the same "weird wire thingies" to hold the plastic lenses over the taillights, and I think LD may even *still* be using these; they're standard issue. I just put a screwdriver tip *gently* under one end of the wire and pop it out; don't press too hard or the lens can break, particularly if it's old and brittle. To replace the wire, use pliers (some people can use their fingers; I can't) to pinch the wire ends together (and, holding on to the pinched-together wire ends) seat the wire circle firmly against the lens at the back of the "can". It will "snap" into place.Joan
