I'm anxious to provide protection for the car and wondered what the collective wisdom was on this item compared to a any other type of tow guards. The Protect-a-tow website: http://protectatow.tripod.com/Would appreciate any thoughts and advice.Happy Trails,Julie and Sue

Since I have a new CR-V, I am into protection overkill and also now use a Blue Ox Kargard shield which I bought used. I have some photos of the P-A-T attached to my Honda Accord if you are interested. Email me off line.Chris

I've towed a 2002 Honda Civic and now tow a 2008 Honda CRV behind my '04 30'IB with no protection what so ever. Over several thousand miles I've never had a problem. Maybe it's because I have a longer overhang than the shorter LDs but for me it's not an issue.Steve S. Lazy Bones & Jiggs
