Thank you all for the valuable information.  Yes the rig is 26 1/2 feet.  We do have the battery disconnect switch and the unit is stored in a large barn type shelter which has a roof but no sides.  We will purchase mothballs to ward off the critters.  Noel (hubby) plans on visiting the unit monthly to exercise the generator and A/C.  Hope to get it out of storage and on the road for weekend camping trips in March.  If the house sells, the plan is to go "full time" beginning June 2011.  We've done a lot of part time RVing over the past 20 years but we still have a lot to learn about the full time life style and our new Lazy Daze rig.  We enjoy reading all of the info provided from this group!

Not being "noisy" but if your home sells and you end up with a few extra $$$$$, I'd buy a nice mobile home in someplace like AZ, FL OR, CA with low park fees (over 55 yo?) as a base home in case full time RV'ing is not a "total" life style. Real estate is at about its lowest ever and in my area, Ft Mohave, AZ which borders CA & NV and has 12 casinos, with 99¢ FULL breakfast and discount buffets, and never freezes, we have mobile homes on their own lots for $25K up with 2/3 bdrs and may need a little TLC.  If you have REAL good family members they can drive/fly out and check your home while having a nice vacation and we are on the Colorado River and 1½ hrs from Las Vegas. NO, I'm not a realtor, but at 67 YO realize that sometimes one member of the family wants to settle while the other may wants to continue RV'ing and if you look at the US map we are convienent to CO, TX, NV, OR and many other spots. I guess I just felt like texting and we CAN use good people in our area as our businesses are closing like other areas and have a lot to offer but need $$$$$ coming in. We are also close to Lk Havasu (London Bridge) but our summers are hot.
