V10 Performance Chip November 19, 2010, 06:54:01 am Yahoo Message Number: 118357I searched the archives and was unable to find information regarding putting a "chip" in a V10 Ford. Tried several search strings but maybe I didn't use the correct one. Anyway, has anyone "chipped" their V10 and if so was a MPG increase achieved. We just purchased a 1999 MB and I drove it from CA to NC and got an average of 8.5 MPG which I understand is pretty normal. Planning a trip from NC to San Francisco over Christmas and if a chip would help I will install one. HP is not a problem as the V10 has plenty of power.
