Bug screen November 11, 2010, 08:12:51 am Yahoo Message Number: 118171This year while I was working in Yellowstone, I saw a brown and tan Lazy Daze with a factory made bug screen. It had a reinforced border with snaps on it. I talked to the owner and he said he would go through his papers and give me the name of the place where he got it, but I guess it slipped his mind. Anyone seen one of these for the E-450 Ford and do you know where one could order one. Thanks, Larry in South Texas

Anyway, he makes bug screens and custom covers; scroll past the canvas cover products to the bug screen info.http://www.dahlcanvas.com/Joan

Before we went to Alaska in 2005, we ordered one direct from Fia (in Canada). http://www.gofia.com/index.cfm?pageID=14&productSeries=20&model=&year=&step=1I believe they now want your Social Security Number to ship through US customs. If that's a problem, they do have some US distributors. The screen snaps to plastic, adhesive backed, buttons which you stick around the grill. Make sure you clean these spots very well. I'd recommend getting a pack of spare buttons, because I've had a few come off.Art
Re: Bug screen Reply #5 – November 13, 2010, 12:35:25 pm Yahoo Message Number: 118220Thanks everyone for the directions on getting a bug screen. I ordered one this week. I have a reusable K&N air filter and boy I was surprised at the volume of insects that got sucked into it

I cut it to fit the air intake opening. I got the idea from someone on this forum last year. The openings in"chicken" wire are about 1/4 inch square, larger enough not to mess with air intake, small enough to keep large insects out. "Chicken" wire is something all real southern men have on hand. Along with duct tape, WD40, bailing wire, tire iron and a CC.Cheers, Don
