Front Corner Cap repair November 08, 2010, 11:01:00 am Yahoo Message Number: 118089I just noticed a crack on the passenger side corner cap. It is about 10" up from the bottom and is pretty much straight line horizontal traveling a bit around the curve and across the flat front face.I suspect something hit near the area while driving. If I recall these are more cosmetic and hopefully don't represent a way for water to intrude, is that correct? Cosmetically, what would be the best way to seal? Something paint will adhere to?Jim C

The factory does a good job of sealing things but why take chances. Their application of sealant may not always be perfect. If the cap is lifting, then more involved fixes may be in order. Photos are always helpful.Larry

I don't know. You might want to try a paint specifically made for plastic. You can apply a short piece of Eternabond tape to a board and then painting it, to see what happens.Larry
