Has anyone else had the problem of a loose dog house? All of a sudden mine dropped off about a week ago. Surprised the heck out of me (and the dogs too). I looked at it, hung it back where it looked like it ought to go and thought I had fixed it. Well, it has come off twice since and we have been parked all that time. All it takes is one dog brushing past it and it's on the floor. Would anyone know how I can fix it to stay? I'm certainly not doing it right.

Thanks!

Judy,
My LD didn't come with a dog house, though our two goldens, while they were still with us, thought the entire LD was their house. Since dog houses are mostly after market add-ons, it'd be good to have more info to determine why gravity is taking over at inopportune times.

all the best,

Chances are the engine cover isn't properly latched, Judie. Take a close look at the latches (one on each side) and make sure they pull the doghouse tight. A loose doghouse isn't just a nuisance; it can let hot air from the engine compartment into the cab, making summer driving plenty uncomfortable.

And potentially dangerous too!
There is also the possibility of Carbon Monoxide entering your cab and RV from leakage in your exhaust system that you are not aware of.
And sometimes the Carbon Monoxide detectors in RV's aren't changed out when the should be, resulting in a false sense of protection.
