Update on winegard outlet July 29, 2010, 02:18:04 pm Yahoo Message Number: 114872I couldn't figure it out...so I took it to my favorite repair shop. The shop foreman came armed with his tester, checked it, no juice to the tv accessory receptacle. It was an easy fix - (especially since he knew what he was looking for!) - on the older units, there is a metal piece that goes to the top of the receptacle. Below it, are little 'prongs', that when a plugin is well, plugged in, causes them to make contact with the metal above and then we've got power to it. He went back into the shop and came out with a new unit...installed it, tested it (power!), plugged my extension into it (it fit!), and now the fans will work when plugged in. I thought everyone might want to know what the issue was! (And sorry if my description is not that good!)Cheers! Helen[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
