Mind you I had camped almost 9 years without one, but in "needing" to use the computer, etc., I would run down my batteries. Also, no solar. So early this year I purchased a Yamaha generator. It's great for charging all the various things one wants charged (RV, mobility scooter, microwave use) and a much cheaper alternative to an Onan installation. I have two very stout locking cables and lock the generator to the frame of the coach. Not too heavy and easy to store with a shut off on the gas so it can be transported in the coach with no worries of fumes. Was under $1,000 with taxes.Lisa and Blue
