E350 and e450 chassis engine options

I remember Ed Newton saying that they had two front cap mold  sizes, and that was why they went to the E450 for the 23.5' so they didn't have  two sizes of caps. I have never actually measured a '450' to see if it was the same size.

The 460 CID V8 was not available after 1996 because of  smog rules. A V8, the Triton engine was made available in late 2008 for the 2009  model year because of the 'gas price crisis'. Maybe for a van, but I wouldn't  even consider that engine for a motorhome.
Just to muddle up things more, the V10's used in 1997 through  1999 are different engines than 2000 and after. They may share many parts, but  the block, intake and exhaust manifolds are different.
