Water Leak question April 27, 2010, 07:37:46 pm Yahoo Message Number: 1121941991 26MB We got the RV out of storage and it looks like there is a leak in the plumbing. We put water in the fresh tank and ran the lines. Nothing worked immediately, but after a while the cold line seemed to work well but the hot faucet had a lot of trouble with the pump coming on and off. After a little bit I went outside and noticed water dripping just behind the door area. I found water in the lower drawer under the closet. After removing the drawers it looks wet in there especially on the foam padding next to the heater (not hot water heater). Don't know if I can fix this one myself but wanted to hear any advice people might have. Thanks in advance.

From your message, it is not clear that you live in an area that would require winterizing or if you did in fact, winterize your rig. If all you did was drain your water tank and your water heater, the lack of water flow from the hot water lines could just be a delay while your water heater fills up. When you state that there was water dripping just behind the door area, are you referring to the entrance door to the rig or the water heater door? If water is leaking from the water heater area, perhaps your drain plug has not be tightened? If water is leaking beneath the wardrobe, it sounds like you have a leak in a water line in the vicinity of the water heater. If I was trying to trouble shoot this, I would remove the drawers from the wardrobe. Hook a fresh water hose to your rig and have someone turn on the water. Use a flashlight to look into the drawer area back towards the water heater to see if water is dripping from the plastic pipes or from a fitting on the water heater. It sounds like you may not have winterized your rig thoroughly. Good luck with repairs.Steve K.
