cork flooring - odor
Yahoo Message Number: 111460
I found references to smells here: http://www.everything-about-rving.com/i-want-to-put-cork-flooring-in-my-rv-what-is-the-best-way-to-do-it.html%c2%a0 and here: http://www.rvparkreviews.com/invboard/index.php?showtopic=1371
A quick mention of odor in a reply on this thread: http://www.dld123.com/q&a/index.php?cid=671 I understand about being sensitive to chemical smells, we bought AFM Hardcoat to seal every surface that would take it in our new to us RV. Still notice what smells like off gassing, though it is much less, but some of it is still the smell that clung to the seats.  We haven't changed them out yet.
We found engineered click hardwood flooring at Home Depot that does not have HDF in it, but the reviews from several years ago were terrible. The sample is bearable in smell. We may go ahead and buy a box, though it is thicker than we wanted, 9/16" plus the underlayment.
If you find cork without odor, please share it. We can't put floors in for a few more weeks. good luck!
