Hwy 50 in Nevada

Hi everyone; There was some recent discussion of the loneliest road in America (hwy 50).  I drove this road two or three times but that was 20 years ago.  At the eastern end, near Ely, I recall camping at a state campground quite high with a small lake at the top.   We went back to it 3x as we found it so pretty.  Does anyone know what I am trying to remember?
We are leaving Mountain Center, CA tomorrow for our spring trip across the US winding up in Nova Scotia.  We are visiting friends in the SF Bay area but from there I am still uncertain what route we shall take.  I am leaning towards crossing OR and ID and spending a week in Yellowstone.
Bring on the cold and snow!  However, I might cut south from OR and drive the Loneliest Road again.  I would love to find the campground mentioned above.
Maybe I shall see some other LD's on the road.
Safe travels, Mike

Earlier I mentioned Cave Lake SP.  Its about 20 mi SE of Ely on US 50.  Could be what you are thinking of.  Jack

Mike, could that be Cave Lake SP?  It's about 15 miles or so SE of Ely on 50.

Have a great trip back East!
