Hwy 91 Toll Road March 16, 2010, 07:25:53 pm Yahoo Message Number: 111082I am looking into getting a FastPass Transponder for the toll road. If you live in OC you know just how slow that road moves on a Friday afternoon. My question is this: will the transponder read when attached to the window. I am concerned with the metallic cab-over blocking the transponder. So, if you've had any experience, let me know. For the record, I called the 91 express lanes office and I don't really think they knew what a class c RV was. Thanks so much,JulesTwo gals, two dogs, in our Bella Bear

Make sure that you have registered the LD with 91 express. Worst case, they take a picture of your license and match it up with your account. They seem to know who to bill when I forget my transponder and use the express lanes. Ed__

It works fine as long as you mount it EXACTLY as directed (don't ask how I know this ). You might ask the FastPass folks if they have something similar.Ted H.'05 RB NE-13@ Lake Stone County Park, Century, FL My question is this: will the transponder read when attached to the window. Hwy 91 Toll Road Reply #3 – March 17, 2010, 10:29:13 am Yahoo Message Number: 111090I am a frequent 91 toll road user. I have tried it in the LD and I think it worked, or at least I didnĀ¹t hear about it latter. In the past I have forgotten the transponder, left it in another car, and they still seem to know to charge my account. All the vehicles that could use the toll road need to be registered with the 91 express folks. They take a picture of the license plate and process it through the DMV. That's what I use, and it has only failed to work once--when I rolled through at exactly the specified 15 mph. From then on I slowed to 10 mph and had no problems.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
