They both have internal mufflers and better soundproofing. It was quite a step backwards to get the Emerald. In addition the exhaust is on the passenger side in front of the rear wheels, so sitting near the 'patio' area under the awning is unbearable. I'm looking forward to having a Bloombox fuel cell generator some day. I hope that it would be quiet, smell free, a little more energy efficient. about the same size and weight, and not too expensive..... That of course is the real question.
