Spending $2 a tank to treat waste is beyond my budget. Heck I am down to drinking $2 a shot whiskey and Clint has not invited me to golf with him once this year. Reply #7 – March 11, 2010, 10:48:37 pm Yahoo Message Number: 110977Years ago, when I had a truck and Lance camper, I would sanitize the fresh water tank several times a year. Only that one fills the tank with water and bleach, let set for a time, drain and fill with water and vinegar, let set for a time and drain.Does anyone have a more exact measurment method or prefered method.David and Verna 2004 26.5 MB (Spokane)[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I tried the vinegar method once, but had trouble getting rid of the vinegar smell. Now, after draining out the bleach water, I put

We do the same as Joanne. We've never done a second rinse, either with vinegar or baking soda, because the slight smell of chlorine that's left after draining and refilling the fresh water has never bothered us.Linda Hylton http://map.datastormusers.com/user1.cfm?user=1167 http://earl-linda.blogspot.com

Don't have mine handy, but I've followed it a number of times. -- Jon
