Kwikee Level Best

Had an interesting situation here this past week.
Had been contemplating the change-out of my OEM chassis battery which was going on six years of age.
Purchased an Interstate MTP-65 (850 CCA, 85 month Warranty). All systems were functional before installation but following installation I discovered that my Kwikee levelers would not work.
I was in a real snit until, between 2 and 4AM, I researched the problem on the Net. Seems that the Kwikee systems are prone to having a Brain Phart if you disconnect the 12v source. I learned that you can 'sometimes' "reset" the system merely by disconnecting the Control Unit for a few moments.
So, next morning I tried that and darned if it didn't work. The levelers are once again operational.

I also found a *.pdf file, "Level Best Service Guide" at:

http://www.kwikee.com/PDFDocuments/LBServiceKSG002.pdf>

which could be invaluable someday.
Additionally I learned that Kwikee has been bought out by another company and they no longer offer customer assistance via an 800 number. You now have to work through a Kwikee dealer.

Steve,
Many thanks for posting your experience with the levelers, and for the link to the manual.  I've downloaded it
