Roof Sealants February 13, 2010, 12:34:35 pm Yahoo Message Number: 110020From time to time I have attempted to find Parlastic and OSI sealants at various Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace hardware with no luck. I have been told to use a polyurethane sealant and haven't had any luck with that. Haven't seen anything marked as a polyurethane. Since Dicor seems readily available at RV parts stores does anyone know if it is a polyurethane? Couldn't find anything on their website which answers that question. Just looking for something to do a little touch up and something that won't be an issue should I reach the point of using eternabond.I already have a tube of this. http://doitbest.com/Caulking+for+bathtubs+and+caulking+guns-W.+J.+Ruscoe-model-PC98-doitbest-sku-771031.dib It is a Nitrile Rubber base sealant. Would that be a problem for eternabond later?Jim C

Jim CJim C Don't know what the composition is in Dicor but I can tell you that Mike Sylvester (TheRVGuyNM at Yahoo dot com) uses Dicor. You might want to direct your question to him.Steve S. As long as the seam is no more than about two inches wide, no sealant should be a problem for 4" Eternabond tape--it will bond to the roof on either side of the seam, so it doesn't matter whether it sticks to the sealant.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
