Hey, what do you guys think of this little heater?

I don't quite understand - how is it connected in with the cooling system?  Do you think it's a good heat source for our LD's?

It would be useful for heating the rear of the coach while driving.
The heat would end soon after the engine is turned off, the same as the heater in your car.
It would be useless while camping unless the engine is idling.

A cat heater might be more useful.

Tessa, this type of heater steals excess heat from the engine; it's plumbed in just like the  built-in heater in your cab. And just like the heater in your cab, the Aqua-Hot will put out heat only as long as you're driving, and for a short while after you turn off the engine.
Now let's think about when we need heat the most: in the morning, when it's coldest. But the Aqua-Hot is useless then, because the engine hasn't been running in twelve or fourteen hours. It's cold.
Likewise, it goes without saying that if you've been parked in one place for a few days you won't get any heat out of the Aqua-Hot, because your engine is stone cold. In fact, if you've been parked for more than a couple of *hours*, the Aqua-Hot won't do you any good. Again, it's just like your cab heater: if the engine isn't running, it just blows cold air.
Yes, you could run the engine to warm it up... but that's an extremely inefficient way to heat your coach. You'd be better off turning on the furnace.
