Since Fujitsu has now provided an OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard) upgrade on line, I purchased a ScanSnap for Mac through Amazon.
 I love it! Nothing could be easier. And there is the choice of saving it as a pdf doc or an editable Word doc. I found only two OCR errors in a tax statement, and they were tricky anyway... like the last two digits of the year number, 2009, in the original are outlined white numbers rather than totally black numbers, and the OCR didn't know what to do with them. Easily correctible. I won't normally scan into the OCR function but did this just as a test. Ran it again and scanned into a folder. Fantastic!
 Guess I'll now be hibernating and scanning everything I can from my file cabinets. Wow... this is life changing.

I agree completely, the ScanSnap bears so little resemblance to a flatbed scanner, SO easy to use and SO small.  Perfect for any RV, even at the price.
