Can’t Believe I’m Writing This & Parking in Downtown Seattle – UP
Yahoo Message Number: 108466
In October we put a forum post explaining to our LD friends that our young family had outgrown their 1987 22FL that we'd had less then one year.  At that point Maria (wife) and I were looking at larger class-A's.  For our price range we couldn't find anything close to the quality of our 22 year old FL.
After searching for a couple of months we found a 1992 Lazy Daze Mid-Bath.  When I first showed Maria the pictures she said "that floor plan won't work for us."  Since our daughter is 19 months old the car seat is essential for us.  Maria was afraid the dinette area wasn't conducive for the car seat.  After a lot of discussion, Maria trusted me and we decided to pull the trigger on the MB.  At this time we hadn't even advertised our 22FL to sell.
Before traveling to pick up the MB we put up a forum post asking about parking in downtown Seattle because we live about three hours southeast of Seattle.  We rented a car, took a day off (Friday) work and drove together to pick up our new LD.  After purchasing the MB we camped in Issaquah for two nights.
It was during this time that we realized how beautifully the MB works for our family.  We were able to push in the dinette to open up the floor space.  We were able to put the collapsible crib in between the fridge and the dinette.  Our daughter slept comfortable and Maria and I opened the bathroom door to enclose the rear section and we were able to read, play games and talk while not disturbing our daughter.   We were so glad to be able to camp in our new (to us) MB so we could fully appreciate all its offerings.  The icing on the cake was driving it home over Snoqualmie Pass.  The Ford 460 has much more power than our old Chevy 350.  The 460 cruised up the pass without any hesitation and minimal deceleration.  Upon arrive home we had two LD's.  We were fortunate to sell our 1987 22FL to a very nice single father.  He was the first one to look at it.  As he was inspecting the 22FL he said "I want something to build positive memories with my kids."  We look forward to continuing a friendship with this man and his family.
Thanks to all of you who advised us about the pros and cons of a class-A.  Thanks to all of you who gave us info about parking in downtown Seattle.  We feel very blessed to be able to continue building "positive memories" in another Lazy Daze,

Rob, Maria, Selah (20 mo. on December 19th) .
