Lowes in CA to carry PV panels December 10, 2009, 10:00:47 am Yahoo Message Number: 108333An item on the morning news, in order to encourage the DIY market, Lowes will begin offering solar panels for home installs, starting now in CA. The story did not mention if the inverters will also be available, along with special wiring, switching, etc., but I would presume so... If these are RV compatible, that might drop the price enough for some to justify the upgrade.Steve

The "benchmark" for PV panel pricing has been about $5 per watt for quite some time. A brief search has some panels selling in the low $3 range - - encouraging.
