Another Generator Update August 19, 2009, 06:16:58 pm Yahoo Message Number: 105059For those few who were following my generator woes, the Onan will be reinstalled next week in my 92 MB. The tech put over $300 in new parts in including a carb and voltage regulator and will be installing and load testing it on Monday or Tuesday. It's been run and tested outside of the rig and performs very well. He charging me about for about 7 hours of labor which is a small portion of what he put into it and that includes the removal and reinstalation. All in all, not the best deal if a quick diagnosis had been able to be done but a fraction of the cost of a new generator and my LD will be "whole" again. The lesson is, if you've got one that quits intermittently and you've done the normal checking for gas line leaks, oil level, etc. - check the voltage regulator :-)
