Sold my RB in two days now the Kodiak TB or 31 TB

We listed on Sunday and sold our much loved RB to the nicest people today. We are flying to the Mother Ship this saturday to look at the Kodiak but are keeping our options open for the 31'TB. I know the Kodiak is an orphan but it has got me drooling what a beautiful coach. We want to work-camp around the USA/Alaska next summer after retirement and this coach will be the best for what we want to do + storage, storage, storage. The twin beds offer the possibility of use as day beds adding a whole other living space. Now for the esteem LD board play devils advocate with me on these two great floor plans. The cost is not the most important issue either.

Hey, Craig and Lea.  If cost is not the most important issue, then go with the Kodiak!  The floor plans of the two are almost exactly the same; you just have a little more room in the K.  Plus you have the storage and dry camping features you are looking for.  As far as it's being an orphan, I'll bet you can find plenty of techies on this forum to help you if you need it down the road.

I've read the recent series of posts expressing concerns about the future availability of repair parts as perhaps the major argument against the Kodiak. I don't buy that line of thought. There must be tens, or perhaps hundreds, of thousands of Kodiak's on the road. Given that number, it's a certainty that some entrepreneur will see, and fill, the need for pieces and parts. You can readily buy parts, original or new, for old VW's, T-Birds, Model A's, etc.  For Pete's sake, you can still buy parts for your Yugo!! If I was in the market for a new LD, I would take a serious look at the Kodiak.

Free advice. Worth what you paid for it.

Congrats on selling your RB so quickly!  I agree with Chris Horst's comments.  We had a '02 30'TB.  It worked very well for us, but if I could have chosen between that model and the Kodiak TB, my choice would have been the Kodiak.  The improvements and greater carrying capacity would have made it an easy choice, especially for fulltiming.
Let us know what you think when you've had a chance to visit the Mother Ship and tour the Kodiak.

No doubt in our minds....Go for the Kodiak fast as you can before some other lucky person(s) grab it. If we had the $$$ it wouldn't be there for you to consider today.
