Trojan T105 Batteries

Upon searching for replacement Trojan batteries, I found dealers scarce around central Ohio. Closest to me was in Coshocton, about 50 miles away.
Upon checking determined they had reasonable prices, $143 each, and could get them in a couple of days. They also believed the batteries would be reasonably fresh.
Everything worked for the pickup today except the fresh part, they are labeled and stamped on the post with 6H. If I remember correctly this means they were manufactured 3 years ago this month. I checked the voltage and each was sitting at 6.3V. Original batteries on a 2001 picked up in May had March 2001 batteries installed.
What makes economic and longevity sense, ask for fresher replacements (another 100 miles), ask for a discount or just use them?

I would not buy three year old batteries anymore than I would buy three year old tires.
I have found that golf cart stores and a couple of time, golf course cart shops are the best places to buy fresh batteries.
T-105s are a very common cart battery and get used by the dozens or hundreds.
I checked Trojan's site below and entered the zip code for Coshocton (since I have no idea where you except it is in Ohio).
It shows 24 Trojan dealers within a 100-mile radius.

Latest update! Well the dummy (me) finally decided to search out the battery date code system and determined the month letter is before the year digit.
So, instead of Aug 2006, I actually have Aug 2009. Couldn't tell which way was up on either the H or the 6/9. Perfectly fresh batteries. Thanks for all the advice.
