Mounting closet wire racks July 28, 2009, 12:39:06 am Yahoo Message Number: 104244I have looked closely at various photos of wire racks being installed on the inside of closet doors and really like the idea. How do you mount the racks using screws without going thru the door panel? I was thinking of using double sided tape to attach another piece of wood first to increase the thickness of the panel. Or do you use really short screws? Thanks, -mike

As you surmised, short screws are the answer. #6 x 1/2" wood screws work well for me, because they're large enough in diameter to get a good, solid grip, but short enough not to penetrate too deeply.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

I used IKEA kitchen storage without the metal plate in the bottom and keep socks, bandanas and lite things in them. I did use a pliers to crimp the hooks in place on the storage piece itself, where you would normally screw the piece to the wall.Lisa and Blue
