32" LD built on Chevy Kodiak body

I was planning on buying the new 32' LD at the end of the year.  A contributor to this site advised me that Chevy was going to close the plant where these trucks are built.  I contacted LD and posed the question "what will happen to the 32' LD?"
 Below is a copy of the email LD sent me.  Looks like the 32' LD is to be short lived!

"Bill,
 General Motors is closing their medium duty truck plant indefinitely. The Kodiak is built in this plant and consequently will no longer be built.

We are building out the few Kodiaks we have and that will be it.
 We have no current plans to reinvest any more time or engineering in this market segment after the Kodiaks are gone.

 It's a shame this model won't be pursued.  It appears to be a very reasonably priced, quality move-up model.
