They sound suspiciously like what we had in our front yard last year and if they are the same, you do not want them in your house! There are lots of different kinds, from harmless velvet and clover mites to biting chiggers that can transmit diseases and make life pretty darn uncomfortable even if they don't. If they're congregating on a white surface, I'll hazard a guess that they may be chiggers, since biting insects are typically attracted to white surfaces. In any case, the last thing you want to do is take a chance on letting them infest your rig. Throw some mothballs into a plastic garbage bag, then seal up the tire covers in the bag and keep them there for a week--that oughta kill the little buggers.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
