For anyone interested I have added new photo's to photo section labeled "1993 LD RB"
 http://tinyurl.com/1993-LD-RB

New pictures consist of old rear bath fan replaced with Fantastic Fan 8000, this is basic exhaust only model.
Swamp Cooler replaced with MaxxFan, this fan is same as Fantastic Fan 5000 but has built in rain guard.

Roof seams sealed with 4" Eternabond.

New vents installed using the Eternabond Vent installation kits.

Thanks for the quality pics and details!  I have the 60A PD9260C on order from eBay to install soon, and plan to eventually replace my swamp cooler with FF or Maxx.  My next projects are the converter replacement and removing & resealing all our windows.  We'll see if I still have time and funds to do more this year, or have to wait a bit longer.

Regards, Adam

Wow Kent!!  Thank you for such great photos and descriptions.  You did a fantastic job.  Did you do all these upgrades yourself or have some of them done?  Could you please explain the Aqua Saver more?     Thanks!

Kent, did you remove your swamp cooler because it didn't work, you didn't use it, you didn't like it or ???

Nice, helpful project photos.  Thanks for posting.

Lazy Daze promoted swamp coolers because most of the purchasers in the early days used them in So. Calif., especially in the desert areas.  No need for an A/C, and there weren't any generators installed to use one anyway.  Once you get out of the arid southwest, swamp coolers turn your living space into, well, a swamp.  Especially in south Texas and points East.  As more people bought L.D.'s who did not live in arid climates, A/C became a necessity if you wanted to be comfortable.  Swamp coolers are very effective if you stay where the humidity is low.  Having both gives you the best of both worlds.  Personally, I would rather have the Maxi-Vent and A/C.

Thanks for the kind words!  I will try and answer everyone's questions with this reply.
I have done all these mods/upgrades myself since I purchased the rig late last year.  Now that the weather is nicer I'm able to bring Sky home and move at a faster pace.

Almost forgot; the converter upgrade takes the old converter from 36 amp to 45 amp and adds a three stage battery charger instead of single stage on stock converters.  The three stage charging takes better care of your battery and prevents overcharging.
