Any suggestions on where to park your RV while visiting ............

the French Quarter in New Orleans that is relatively safe?  We'll be visiting there this August while passing through but don't want to try a parking garage.  Thanks for any tips...

--- You may receive other suggestions, but you might want to plan to stay at the French Quarter RV Resort and use that as a close-in base (and safe place to leave your rig, and, in August, hookups to run your AC!) to visit the French Quarter:

 Street parking in NO is virtually non-existent, and parking lots are very expensive, and may not accept RVs.

Gene? Are you looking for a place to stay, or just a place to park for the day?  If you plan to visit overnight and have a toad to get into town, I recommend Jude RV Park, just outside of town (but on the bus line if you don't have a toad).  I stayed there last month.  It's gated, the owners are on the premises and I recommend it highly if you're happy with "simple" amenities.
