My husband and I are traveling and he needs to have a Vitamin B12 shot.  We are having trouble finding a place to get it; we have tried Dr. pharmacy, health service.  We  even have a Dr. prescription.  Any of you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Linda and John

I certainly would have thought with an order from your doctor you should  be able to go to a clinic or try the outpatient dept. at a hospital.

CVS drugs now have in some stores minute clinics. They may work.
My husband has to get labs done on a very regular basis and I have an order and we usually go to any lab or hospital outpatient dept.
Another option might be to find a clinic and see if your doctor were to call them to authorize it if they could do it or possibly getting the syringe and the b12 from the pharmacy and give it yourself.

Good Luck

Sylvia

Thanks for your help. I took the presc. to Walgreens and they gave me the dose I needed and the required needles. My daughter was having a dinner party and guess who showed up. A nurse who gave me the shot. No pain. We waited until after dinner and it was uneventful. I won't have to do this again until the middle of June. It was interesting to hear all the "no's" when we called different medical people. It is only a vitamin supplement. Take care, john leach, Prescott, Az.
