GREY WATER TANK CRACKED March 03, 2009, 09:10:20 am Yahoo Message Number: 99842Must have kicked up large sharp stone(s) on road and when boondocking discovered leak in bottom of grey water holding tank about 1 1/2 ft from drain valve. Question is how to repair 3 to 4 inch crack and would I have to drop holding tank ? You guys are the greatest and I know their is a solution.[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

You needn't buy a whole roll (though it's not a bad idea to have one in your "supplies" box)--Eternabond is also sold as an 8x8" patch specifically for this kind of small repair job. Most RV stores carry it.If you want to do it the "right" way, check the archives for bumpersoar's posts about re-welding the cracked area using an old-fashioned soldering gun. But truthfully, the Eternabond is likely to hold up for longer than you own the coach, so I'd be inclined to fix it that way in the situation you describe.Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/
