A BIG thank-you to Terry Tanner, whose technical know-how and tips have helped so many of us, both on this site and on his Technoz site, to better enjoy our rigs. This thank-you, however, goes to his generosity. As the members of the Caravan Club know, from the tech talk session at the recent outing to Buena Vista, we had a bizarre accident with our '06 23TK on the way to the GTG, resulting in a broken passenger-side mirror. The driver of a trash truck, parked on the shoulder of the I-405, was hanging on to the side of the truck trying to pull something out from between the cab and the box. Just as we passed (I had moved to the left of the lane, but couldn't move over a lane because of traffic there) he flung his arm back and out into my lane and the mirror housing hit his hand. The impact shattered the mirror. Probably his hand as well, although adrenalin seemed to allow him to write with it as we exchanged info. Anyway, back to Terry. Upon hearing this tale, he offered a free set of mirrors that he had in his garage. I picked them up today, and installed the replacement in about 60 seconds. I'm now carrying around a spare, and if anyone needs one, let me know. I'd like to "pay it forward." Thanks again, Terry. --Jon
