The older, two cylinder Onan Emeralds usually last 3000+ hours before rebuilding. 700 hours, in a well care for generator is not excessive. Low hours generators can be as trouble prone as extremely high hour generators. Generators need to be exercised regularly, preferably under full load. Try for a minimum of one hour a month, under load. Change the oil once a year or every 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first.Larry
