Oscillating Power Tools February 20, 2009, 08:07:29 pm Yahoo Message Number: 99502Anyone have or used an oscillating power tool such as the Fein MultiMaster, Dremel Multi Max, or Bosch PS50. I bought one of these tools from Fein couple years back for my house projects and love it. The other day I started removing the sealant between swamp cooler and roof using a heat gun. I remembered I had the oscillating tool so I thought I would give it a try. I used it with a universal plunge blade and boy did it make the job much easier. It cut through the old sealant much easier than the heat gun with a stiff putty knife. These tools are expensive but I have not regretted the purchase. I'm feeling much better about the roof reseal and the replacement of swamp cooler and rear bath vent. Maybe tool shops rent these!

I would go heavy on the heat, very light on the tooling. Experience.Steve
