Hey group
Might want to keep your LD off the road today... and on this day next month (March) and possibly even on this day again in November.

Seems like Friday the 13th is multiplying like rabbits!

I chanced a drive to the mother ship today to get my awning fixed.
Both 'shock absorbers' (the white plastic thingys near the arms of the awning were broke) All started well as I left Simi Valley at 7am.
By the time I got to Pasadena it was raining, and it rained all the way to Montclair. I got there at 8:15, traffic wasn't that bad. Vince took my LD to the back and was finished in 45 minutes. I haven't tried it yet but I am sure he did a good job.
While there I was chatting with Todd and asked about the 'Kodiak'. He took me on a tour and I was impressed. It is a twin to the 30 footers as far as layout. The counter tops are 'solid' speckled gray in color. The stove has a 'solid' hinged cover (very nice but heavy) and the burners (3) are 'home' quality, big fire ring. There is a convection microwave below the stove. A huge TV in the entertainment center, Bose sound system. There is also a TV in the back. The cab has 'ultra leather' (very nice and soft), built in GPS, rear view camera (monitor is right above the rear view mirror), CB radio, heated power rear mirrors. 3 100w solar panels, 2000w inverter that will run anything in the coach (including the convection microwave).
Unfortunately I forgot my camera......

I had to laugh when I read this, and realized that the factory has finally caught up with what Gertie (my former rig, a 1985 LD) had ten years ago! ;-)

Now that's something Gertie didn't have. At my average consumption rate of 8.77 gallons a month, forty gallons of propane would last me four and a half months. Nice! :-)
