If you look in our website's Files > Lazy Daze Information folder, the first document is "LD models over the years". There you'll find details of what chassis were used in what years. The factory built 30' coaches on Chevy GP30 chassis in 1994, 1995 and 1996--the first three years for the 30' model--but then switched to the Ford E450 chassis in 1997 for both 26.5' and 30' models. The 23.5' models were already on the E350 chassis, and it was undoubtedly simpler and less expensive for the factory to build all their coaches on Ford chassis than on a mix of Fords and Chevys. If Ford had a good high-capacity chassis now, I'm sure they'd be using it for the new 32-footers, instead of the Chevy Kodiak!Andy Baird http://www.andybaird.com/travels/

But the 26.5 was only available on Ford 350 (11,500) in spite of the availability of the GP30 (14,5000). Strange.Sam
