Willamette Hatchery Volunteering Position November 23, 2008, 01:38:35 pm Yahoo Message Number: 97497We're in the process of perusing the volunteer website for Oregon State Hatchery and Wildlife areas. Each hatchery and wildlife area has a picture of the host site, and at the Willamette Hatchery Site #1, there's a picture of a red and white Lazy Daze!!! Looks like there's a bicycle rack on the back.Anyone here?Linda Hylton http://map.datastormusers.com/user1.cfm?user=1167 http://earl-linda.blogspot.com/

But I can tell you that the Williamette Hatchery, Museum, grounds, birds, etc. is a wonderful, interesting and lovely place to visit. How on earth did you find out about volunteering at a *hatchery* for cryin' out loud??! How long would your assignment be, what are the job "duties," and can you stay right on the grounds? I love that whole area -- so much to explore, lots of lakes, rivers, Scenic Byways. If there was a Kaiser facility in Eugene, I'd consider settling in the Oakridge/Westfir area in a heartbeat!Lorna, Santa Cruz
