sweating windows (formerly ponderings and questions) November 17, 2008, 08:08:02 pm Yahoo Message Number: 97334Helen,If you don't have a FantasticFan in your vent(s), install one. I found my 22' rig dries right out if I crack a window in the front and run the FantasticFan to pull the air out while I take the dogs for their first walk of the day. By the time I get back, all the condensation is gone from the windows. You might also try running your A/C for a while in the morning to dry it out.If it's really going to be soggy, I run an electric dehumidifier.Lori and the girls LD 24ft FL wannabee-it's all about fitting the dog crates and having a recliner[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

I'll do what you suggest in the morning, and let it run while I'm letting dogs out and getting ready for work. I usually leave the window cracked all day, anyway. Thanks for the tip! (Another wannabee...all about the dogs + the cat & being comfy....I envision the 30', with one sofa removed in back for crates. Recliner is a really good idea, Lori!)Helen with some-other-brand, 7 dogs, 1 cat & pupsters

Removing it would eliminate a lot of under couch storage space. Removing the chairs would make more sense if you are looking for a place to put dog crates. Maybe you were thinking of the 30' twin bed setup where you might be able to remove one bed at the rear of the coach. I'm not sure what's under those beds; probably one of them is over the water tank.Chris
Re: sweating windows (formerly ponderings and questions) Reply #5 – November 18, 2008, 12:42:37 pm Yahoo Message Number: 97348We have five small dogs and don't use any crates in either our car or our RV. Most of them ride on the passenger's lap, some ride in the back, some in the space between the seats. Here is a picture of Tobi in a dog bed between the seats. There is room in the bed for another dog and Kona sometimes joins her there. In the car often a dog will ride on the dash: http://www.flickr.com/photos/safoocat/2865212681/ We might do that in the RV too once we get a rug up there. Here are the dachshunds in their bed in the car. We have a similar bed in the RV in the back by in the kitchen. http://www.flickr.com/photos/safoocat/2036899252/ Michelle http://safoocat.blogspot.com/ http://flickr.com/photos/safoocat/

That said, the pass through is under both beds so that would have to be taken into consideration also.Kate http://cholulared.blogspot.com &http://www.cholulared.comWant to find us? If you remove the mattresses from the twin beds, you have built in platforms, complete with lips, to prevent the crates from sliding. I'd still add eyebolts to allow the crates to be strapped in, though. I hope the dogs would enjoy the great views out the windows! That would mean no loss of outside storage space or new construction. You would still have the full-size pull-out bed/sofa in the front to use for sleeping. We travel with two Yorkies, who ride in a crate that is strapped in place behind the driver's seat, where one of the barrel chairs normally would be. We replaced the other barrel chair with a reclining arm-less office chair. Much more comfortable for us than the barrel chair, but some folks do like the barrel chairs. If you travel by yourself, or with only one other person, that might work for you and your "flying paps".Sharon N.Crossville, TN
