Where to weigh axles?
Yahoo Message Number: 97086
Hi I'm getting ready to leave cold Michigan for Texas & would like to get the axle weights on my 26' MD LD. Any ideas on where I can get this done  & how to go about doing it when I find a place? Yellow pages don't seem to help. I'll be heading right down US23/I75.
Thanks!!

Just *how* you'd position the rig to get individual axle weights and/or the weight of each corner will depend on the configuration of the scales and the amount of access and maneuvering room that the weigh scale offers. (Also, be prepared for a charge to weigh your rig.)

http://www.ehow.com/how_2094695_weigh-your-motorhome.html It's as simple as Googling "How to weigh a motorhome".

Nearly all truck stops, Flying J, Pilot, Loves, have scales available.  Just look for the yellow CAT sign (they all have them).  Usually costs about $7 for the printout.  Some offer "Certified" weight which you do not need.
After you buy gas, just ask the attendant for the procedure and they will be happy to advise.  Basically you just drive on the scale, pick up the phone and ask 'em to weigh you.  You can easily get separate front and rear axle and a separate third number for any trailer or toad.
Four corner weights are not always available, but you generally do not need that to set the tire pressure.
