Multi LD Sighting over President's Day Weekend at Silent Valley, CA

Hi Guys, We took off from sunny San Diego, CA for the Southern California mountains just after last weeks freak snow storm in our local mountains. It is unusual getting snow down at the 1,500 foot level but it happened this time. Anyway, when we got up to our campground at the 3,500 foot level, there was plenty of snow on the ground, but luckily none on the roads on the way up the mountain.
After we settled in at our winter retreat, Silent Valley, which is a membership campground up the mountain from the desert floor town of Banning, CA on I-10 near Palm Springs, we spotted three LDs in the campground. One older one, a Biege and tan 21 footer with Chevy cab parked by the Village Center. Two newer Grey and White ones parked together in the "F" section of the campground. Unfortunately, everytime we passed by the LDs, none of the occupants were on-site or outside when their tow vehicles were present.
It was a great three day campout. Cold at night but short sleeve shirt weather during the days. By Sunday, the third day, most of the snow had melted away except for those areas where trees and boulders blocked the Sun's direct rays.
You know, that is what we find great about living in SoCal, you can go up into the mountains and camp in the snow or drive down to the beach and camp on the sand all in one days time. Smile!

We saw a Teal 23 parked in front of a restaurant in Borrego Springs Friday. A Brown MB in the CG at Borrego Springs Saturday and an Teal IB in Blair Valley.
We also saw boo-coo toy hauler rigs of all types coming down 78 on the way to play in the sand.
Is it just us, or when you see a SOB C class don't you feel sorry for them? For about the same money, they could have gotten a good looking rig, rather than a white bread box.
Currently in Chula Vista RV doing tourist things waiting until Friday when we leave for Baja with 15 other LD's. We have to go next door and meet the folks in the Red MB when they get back.

We spent Sunday night in BBV - didn't see any other LD.  Did see a big diesel pusher stuck up to it's axles in mud listing about 30 degrees about 200 yards from the exit.  I guess he tried to run through a mud puddle and didn't quite make it.

Anyone buy into the Thousand Trails timeshare deal?  We went to Pio Pico to take a look - not overly impressed by the camp ground but I'd be interested in others view.
