Just wondering....
Yahoo Message Number: 88715
When looking at Jay's pictures of his new motorcylce rack on the back of his 96 LD I noticed that his rig has the Lazy Daze logo and the city designation of Pomona, California.  Our 2007 has the city designation of Montclair.  When, why was this change made?  Did the factory actually move in the intervening years?  Or did the USPS change the post office for this address? This is trivial, I know, but I'm curious! Dick

My understanding is that the Factory was static while the ZIP code was dynamic.
I do not know when it changed.

The post office changed the designation; the factory itself hasn't moved in something like fifty years. (And looks it. ;-) Anybody know what year the change occurred?

The oldest Lazy Daze archived web site in the "Wayback machine" is from December 1998 and has the newer name, Montclair. Perhaps the owners of rigs built from 1996-1998 can help us narrow it down more.

I am not sure of the year, but my 2000 RB had Montclair on the logo.
The city of Montclair annexed that unincorporated section of Pomona, home of the "mothership", which was on their border.

Check me where I'm wrong but I think there was a big flood in one of those winters.  I wonder if the cities refined their boundaries after the flood?
