A few weekend Ciao Baby improvements

It was a COLD and dreary weekend in Texas again.  It seems I aim to camp in them lately.  :)

But Ciao Baby got a few "Kate and Andy improvements" this weekend.
And just one calamity.

Our "Kate Pump-pot" as seen halfway down here:

tumbled out of our minivan and the glass inside shattered, leaking water and shards of glass onto the garage floor.  So here's a fair warning to be *careful* with your pump pot.

Now for the improvements:

You know in Eureka! where Andy talks about the coat hanger stuff?
http://www.andybaird.com/travels/eureka/index.htm>

I used a coat hanger to secure the toilet bowl brush to an existing screw by the shower and for the first time in history, it did not fall over during a drive.  Whoo-hoo!

I took a picture for you, but as you can see, it is no Andy-job.
Andy makes it look easy.  He is just talented.  But mine is effective and I plan to practice more on other items.

Then, remember how Kate flipped the shelf upside down and hung it above her stove?  (LD Message #84872)

In the more "mature" LD's, we do not have built in shelves under the bathroom counter.  I had a white-coated metal shelf in there, but when it was upright, it was too low and the trashcan sat on it.  Now it is just the right height to get all the toiletries off the counter, but within reach, and put the trashcan underneath the shelf.

Finally, I rearranged the medicine cabinet that a previous owner added.  By using super-lock to fasten a small tray to the cabinet door, it can close over the short items.  Because the tray is attached to the door, I can *see* what is in the tray.  It effectively adds another shelf, but the tray contents are more visable and I don't have to build a shelf.

Here are some pics:

Thanks for the great ideas, Andy & Kate!

The toilet brush, a stiff, oblong thing available in lots of places and actually labeled for some other function, fits neatly inside the container; no water on the floor. The container is easily removed from the velcro floor strip for washing out.  The velcro holds the container securely to the floor, and this lash-up hasn't fallen over yet!

Great job, Tessa--I couldn't have done better myself!

That is a great idea, Joan.  Is that a "bottle brush" that you use? A 20 oz bottle is not very big, so that sounds nicely inconspicuous.

Did you cut the top off the bottle?  It sounds like the brush fit without doing so.    Terrific idea, as usual!

I think I got it at Wal*Mart, but it was so long ago, I don't remember. The brush isn't a bottle brush; it has stiff bristles, and the brush head is rounded on the end. I think it came from Target, but just about any like store would have something similar. Anyway, it all works, so I'm happy. ;-)

A note on the pump pot.  While we leave it out while parked, we always empty it, then place it in a plastic bucket in the shower for travel (usually somewhat packed so ot doesn't slosh around too much
