Hi Andrew -

The transport ICC Driver, Colin, likes to go to the Oasis RV Resort just south of town it is next to Silverton Casino right on I-15. It is a nice park with many amenities. There is a big Super Wal-mart/Sam's Club just off the 215 at Eastern Ave. not very far from the park and easy to get your LD in/out
LV is a real easy town to get around, but do recommend not taking your LD down the strip as just too much traffic of autos/people besides all the lights.
We lived there for over five years so if ya need any info let me know

We just took delivery on Friday in Vegas, Andrew.  The Notary that Colin normally uses, and who meets you at the Oasis RV resort is in the hospital and not available.  Instead Colin took us to a Mail Room store in a nearby plaza (within sight of the Oasis).  The Notary there was actually less expensive since they didn't have to travel to meet us.  By the time you pick up your rig Colin may have made other arrangements.  He has some flexibility so you may want to connect with him before hand.  You can probably do that through the LD folks when you schedule your delivery.

The July 2007 photograph on the 30th Anniversary Calendar shows six LD's [on Chevy chassis] on a dirt road titled "Along the Colorado River, Arizona. That looks like my kind of place. Probably public land. It was taken by Charlene Tutterrow #1222. I am hopeful that someone on this list can identify the location with some specificity.

Since you have probably tossed your 2007 calendar here is the photograph: http://www.flickr.com/photos/delta_mike/2195352301/

Does this bring back any memories?

If not, I suppose I can drive the river from south to north until I find the location.

Don, the caption for the photo as found in the "Caravaner" for the Lazy Daze Caravan club reads as follows:
"During the November 1984 Caravan at Echo Lodge on the Colorado River, a large group of Lazy Dazers make a day trip (in the days before tow cars). This photo was taken in an area between Havasu Springs Resort and Parker Dam.

Hope that helps!

The Wal-Mart nearest to Nellis AFB always has several over-nighters
hanging out.  I assume from this, that they allow it.
